Devops Engineer
Seasoned L3 Infrastructure Engineer to provide onsite support for a government data centre, handling servers, storage, virtualization, networking, security appliances and backup systems with advanced troubleshooting and automation.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere) including provisioning, migration, and performance tuning.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco network devices, firewalls, and other security appliances.
- Oversee enterprise storage solutions (EMC, NetApp) and implement data protection strategies using backup tools such as Commvault.
- Lead incident response and root‑cause analysis for complex infrastructure issues, providing L3 escalation support.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash) to streamline routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- 8–15 years of hands‑on experience in server, storage, virtualization, and network infrastructure management.
- Strong expertise with Windows Server, Linux, VMware vSphere, and Cisco networking technologies.
- Proven experience with enterprise storage (EMC/NetApp) and backup solutions (Commvault or similar).
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to handle L3 escalations in a data‑center environment.
- Solid scripting abilities (PowerShell, Bash) and familiarity with automation best practices.
