Software Engineer
Provide 24/7 L1/L2 support for a complex middleware ecosystem, monitoring and resolving incidents across IBM and Oracle platforms and containerized workloads on OpenShift.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the health and performance of middleware components (WebSphere, MQ, API Connect, DataPower, Event Streams, WebLogic, Service Bus) and OpenShift clusters.
- Triaging, diagnosing, and resolving incidents in real time to meet SLA targets.
- Escalate complex issues to L3 teams with detailed analysis and reproducible steps.
- Maintain and update run‑books, documentation, and knowledge‑base articles for recurring problems.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and shift work, ensuring 24×7 coverage.
Requirements
- Hands‑on experience with IBM middleware products (WebSphere, MQ, API Connect, DataPower, Event Streams) and Oracle WebLogic/Service Bus.
- Proficiency in container platforms, especially Red Hat OpenShift, and basic Linux administration.
- Strong incident‑management skills, including monitoring tools, log analysis, and root‑cause investigation.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, shift‑based environment and communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Administrator, Red Hat OpenShift) are a plus.
