About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Coalition and Joint Interoperability team in designing, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure for the Land Command Support System (LCSS).
- Implement routing, switching, and firewall policies on Cisco platforms to meet security and performance requirements.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts for network automation, monitoring, and data collection.
- Perform troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis of network issues across LAN/WAN environments.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineers to integrate network solutions with mission‑critical applications and ensure compliance with defense standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Fundamental knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and Cisco switching/routing hardware.
- Hands‑on experience with Linux operating systems and basic scripting (Python preferred).
- Understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
