Entry‑level analyst responsible for tracking project finances, preparing budgets, and ensuring Department of Defense funding complies with policies, using Excel, SAP, and data‑visualization tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and report on project budgets, expenditures, and cost forecasts for DoD initiatives.
- Prepare financial statements, variance analyses, and cost‑benefit reports for senior leadership.
- Maintain and update data in SAP and other financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal regulations.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations to communicate financial performance to stakeholders.
- Assist in the development of cost estimates and funding allocation recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presenting findings.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
