Systems Engineer
Entry‑level IT System Engineer responsible for maintaining and optimizing Windows and Linux environments, managing Active Directory, automating tasks with PowerShell, and supporting virtualized infrastructure and cloud services such as AWS.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server and Linux systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Administer Active Directory, including user and group management, group policy creation, and security compliance.
- Automate routine tasks and deployments using PowerShell scripts and configuration management tools.
- Support and troubleshoot VMware virtual machines, storage, and networking components.
- Assist in the design, deployment, and monitoring of AWS cloud resources, ensuring cost‑effective and secure operations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement security best practices and incident response procedures.
Requirements
- Strong foundational knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, and basic networking concepts.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware) and cloud platforms (AWS).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to system maintenance.
- Good communication skills in German and English.
