About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, prototype, and iterate on new gameplay features, quests, and activities for RuneScape.
- Write, test, and maintain game logic using RuneScript, ensuring stability and performance.
- Collaborate with senior designers, artists, and engineers to align design intent with technical implementation.
- Balance game systems and economies through data analysis and player feedback.
- Document design specifications, flowcharts, and implementation notes for cross‑functional teams.
Requirements
- Passion for RuneScape and a solid understanding of MMORPG mechanics.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages; familiarity with RuneScript or similar in‑house tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical and systems‑thinking abilities to design balanced content.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
