Software Engineer
Entry‑level role supporting the protection of systems and data by monitoring security tools, responding to alerts, assisting incident investigations and helping maintain security controls.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) platforms for alerts and anomalies.
- Assist senior analysts in investigating and triaging security incidents.
- Help maintain and update security controls, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Perform basic vulnerability scans and assist in remediation tracking.
- Document incident response steps and contribute to post‑mortem reports.
- Support the creation of security awareness material for internal teams.
Requirements
- Fundamental understanding of networking concepts and common cyber threats.
- Experience or coursework with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and incident response processes.
- Basic scripting skills, preferably Python, for log analysis and automation.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
