Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong Python programming skills, experience building production-grade applications, and a solid understanding of software engineering best practices. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred) is a plus.
The candidate should be comfortable working in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality, maintainable code.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and backend services.
Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
Write clean, modular, reusable, and well-documented code.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Debug and resolve production issues while ensuring minimal downtime.
Design and optimize SQL queries and work with relational databases.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA, and frontend developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
Implement automated unit and integration tests.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.
Technical Skills
Strong programming experience in Python.
Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
Strong understanding of REST API design and development.
Good knowledge of object-oriented programming and design principles.
Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (PyTest, Unittest, etc.).
Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
Good to Have
Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms (Azure/GCP).
Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.
Experience with message queues such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS.
Understanding of microservices architecture.
Basic knowledge of Kubernetes.
Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
