Junior AI Engineer building Python microservices on AWS, integrating OpenAI and other LLMs, and creating shared tooling for observability, alerting, and database access.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python microservices that interface with OpenAI, Google Gemini, Mistral, and other LLMs.
- Build an internal Python library to standardize LLM clients, database wrappers, observability, and alerting across the AI stack.
- Collaborate with the AI Lead to design scalable, production‑ready backend components.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure high availability and rapid issue resolution.
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Requirements
- 6 months to 1.5 years of experience in Python backend development.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS).
- Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Google Gemini, Mistral) and model integration.
- Strong understanding of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, or similar) and alerting mechanisms.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
