About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead systems engineering activities for NAVAIR weapons and aircraft projects, ensuring design, integration, and test meet performance and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and scientific teams to develop system architecture, functional specifications, and verification plans.
- Conduct requirements analysis, risk assessment, and trade studies to guide design decisions and optimize system performance.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation, providing status updates and technical guidance to stakeholders.
- Facilitate problem‑solving sessions, resolve technical conflicts, and mentor junior engineers to maintain high‑quality deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with 3–5 years of systems engineering experience.
- Proven experience with NAVAIR weapons or aircraft system development, including integration and test.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in systems engineering tools (e.g., DO-178/DO-254, SysML) and project management practices.
- Self‑starter attitude, ability to multi‑task, and resolve conflicts constructively.
