Security Engineer
Provide enterprise-level cybersecurity engineering for Air Force C3I and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with DoD standards, managing risk, and responding to incidents using tools such as ACAS and Python scripting.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls for C3I and infrastructure systems supporting over 110 Air Force installations.
- Apply the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and STIG guidelines to assess, authorize, and continuously monitor system security.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage remediation using ACAS, Nessus, and related tools.
- Lead incident response activities, including detection, analysis, containment, and post‑incident reporting.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, configuration baselines, and automation scripts (e.g., Python) to streamline compliance processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum three years of hands‑on experience in DoD or federal cybersecurity environments.
- Demonstrated expertise with RMF, STIG compliance, and security assessment tools (ACAS, Nessus, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of network security concepts, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and secure architecture.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance and travel on a limited basis as required.
