Journeyman PaaS Cutter System Engineer responsible for day‑to‑day administration of physical and virtual Windows Server environments, Hyper‑V infrastructure, and PaaS services, ensuring operational reliability, security compliance, and efficient system maintenance for a mission‑critical program.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain physical and virtual Windows Server environments, including Hyper‑V hosts and guest VMs.
- Perform routine system maintenance, patching, and performance tuning to ensure high availability.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, providing timely support to end users and stakeholders.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity and configuration standards across the platform.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and deploy PaaS solutions that meet program requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Windows Server and Microsoft Hyper‑V virtualization.
- Strong understanding of PaaS concepts and cloud‑native deployment models.
- Hands‑on knowledge of security best practices, including firewall, IDS/IPS, and patch management.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a hybrid team environment.
