Security Engineer
Provide hands‑on cybersecurity support for helicopter programs, performing risk assessments, vulnerability remediation, and incident response while ensuring compliance with DoD security standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical expertise for system security and cybersecurity tasks supporting helicopter programs such as the HH‑60W and MH‑139.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and remediation actions on both Windows and Linux platforms.
- Provide incident response support, including detection, analysis, containment, and reporting of security events.
- Maintain compliance with DoD security policies, STIGs, and other applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with program engineers and stakeholders to integrate security controls into system designs and updates.
Requirements
- Experience in cybersecurity support within a defense or aerospace environment.
- Proficiency with vulnerability scanning tools, network security monitoring, and incident response procedures.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems security hardening.
- Familiarity with DoD security frameworks, STIGs, and risk management processes.
- Ability to work on‑site 2–3 days per week and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
