About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot Linux and Windows Server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Configure, monitor, and secure network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Implement and manage virtualization solutions (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V) to optimize resource utilization.
- Apply security best practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and enforce compliance with federal and military standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support mission‑critical applications and data services.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in systems administration with a focus on mixed Windows/Linux environments.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, routing, and switching.
- Hands‑on experience with virtualization platforms and cloud services.
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash) for automation and configuration management.
- Valid security clearance or ability to obtain one.
