Systems Engineer
Senior Linux system administrator responsible for operating and maintaining a sovereign, secure cloud platform for the German public sector, leveraging SAP technologies and DevOps practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux-based infrastructure within a multi-tenant cloud environment.
- Implement and maintain automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines to support rapid deployment and scaling.
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce compliance, patch management, and incident response.
- Optimize system performance, capacity planning, and resource utilization across the platform.
- Provide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams on cloud and SAP integration.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Linux system administration (Red Hat, SUSE, or CentOS).
- Proficiency in cloud platform management, preferably with SAP Cloud Platform or similar.
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python) and familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
