Lead daily technology operations for a fast‑growing aerospace and defense manufacturer, managing Windows Server environments, Active Directory, VMware virtualization, network infrastructure, and security controls to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable IT services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement and maintain network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and firewall configurations, to support mission‑critical applications.
- Develop and enforce security policies, conduct vulnerability assessments, and manage patching and backup procedures.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to plan and execute IT projects, upgrades, and capacity expansions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure in a manufacturing or defense environment.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, and enterprise networking.
- Strong understanding of security best practices, backup solutions, and disaster recovery planning.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, VCP, CCNA) preferred.
