Software Engineer
Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across Windows, Linux, virtualized, and cloud environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and manage Windows Server and Linux environments to support business applications and services.
- Oversee virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud resources (AWS/Azure) to optimize scalability and cost.
- Monitor system performance, conduct capacity planning, and ensure 24/7 availability through proactive maintenance and incident response.
- Implement and enforce network and endpoint security policies, including firewalls, VPNs, and patch management.
- Lead a team of system administrators, providing mentorship, training, and performance reviews.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing Windows and Linux server infrastructures in a mid‑to‑large sized organization.
- Strong hands‑on expertise with virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper‑V) and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Proven knowledge of networking concepts, security best practices, and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Ansible).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues under pressure.
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or VMware Certified Professional are a plus.
