IT Systems Engineer providing on‑site and remote support for desktop hardware, operating systems, and peripherals across multiple school locations, coordinating with a national helpdesk and ensuring rapid issue resolution.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Triage and resolve desktop hardware and OS issues for multiple school sites.
- Provide phone and remote support for locations outside the immediate area.
- Coordinate with the National Support Center IT Helpdesk and act as a focal point for ALS employee support.
- Travel between sites as needed, ensuring timely on‑site assistance.
- Document incidents, solutions, and follow‑up actions in the ticketing system.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Windows and Linux desktop environments.
- Experience troubleshooting peripherals such as printers and network devices.
- Strong remote desktop and helpdesk support skills.
- Excellent communication and customer‑service orientation.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits.
