Systems Engineer
Senior storage engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining NetApp and CEP storage solutions in a managed services environment, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across enterprise workloads.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage NetApp storage arrays and CEP (Cloud Enterprise Platform) solutions for multi‑tenant environments.
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and proactive monitoring to meet SLAs.
- Automate routine tasks using Python and shell scripting, integrating with configuration management tools.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (network, security, application) to troubleshoot and resolve storage‑related incidents.
- Document architecture, procedures, and best practices; conduct knowledge transfer sessions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise storage administration, with hands‑on NetApp and CEP expertise.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash; familiarity with Ansible or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix storage concepts, LVM, RAID, and backup/recovery strategies.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a customer‑focused mindset.
- Effective communication skills in English; German language a plus.
