Systems Engineer
Lead patch management for enterprise Windows and Linux environments, ensuring secure, compliant systems through automation, monitoring, and stakeholder coordination using SCCM, WSUS, Azure, and PowerShell scripting.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain patch management processes for Windows Server and Linux platforms.
- Configure and administer SCCM and WSUS to automate patch deployment across the enterprise.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for patch assessment, deployment, and reporting.
- Monitor patch compliance, troubleshoot failures, and coordinate with security and operations teams.
- Document procedures, create knowledge base articles, and provide training to end‑users and support staff.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Windows Server, Linux, and enterprise patching tools (SCCM, WSUS).
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and Bash.
- Knowledge of Azure services and cloud‑based patch management.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and documentation abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Red Hat Certified System Administrator) are a plus.
