Senior IT System Administrator and Technical Support Engineer responsible for managing Windows and Linux environments, Active Directory, VMware infrastructure, and cloud services while delivering high‑level support and troubleshooting across the organization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize Windows Server and Linux systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Administer Active Directory, group policies, and user access management.
- Manage VMware virtual infrastructure, including VM provisioning, monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Provide tier‑2/3 technical support, diagnosing and resolving complex hardware, software, and network issues.
- Automate routine tasks with PowerShell and Bash scripts, improving efficiency and consistency.
- Collaborate with cloud teams to support AWS/Azure services and migrations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Windows Server, Linux, and Active Directory administration.
- Strong knowledge of VMware ESXi/vSphere and virtual networking.
- Hands‑on scripting skills in PowerShell and Bash.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is a plus.
