Systems Engineer
Proactive IT Support Engineer providing first‑line technical assistance, managing Windows environments, Office 365, and network issues while delivering excellent customer service within a fast‑paced construction IT operations team.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal users, logging, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and network incidents.
- Maintain and administer Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365 services, including user provisioning, group policy, and licensing.
- Perform routine system monitoring, patch management, and backup verification to ensure service continuity.
- Troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity, Wi‑Fi, and VPN issues, collaborating with external vendors when required.
- Document solutions, update knowledge‑base articles, and contribute to continuous improvement of support processes.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a corporate IT support role, preferably within a multi‑site environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration.
- Hands‑on experience with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and troubleshooting connectivity problems.
- Proficiency with ticketing platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) and scripting using PowerShell or similar.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude, able to prioritize and manage multiple requests efficiently.
