Systems Engineer
IT Support Engineer responsible for first- and second-level support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, and maintaining desktops, laptops, and peripherals using Windows, Linux, and Active Directory environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-level technical support to employees via helpdesk tickets and on-site assistance.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, and network problems on Windows and Linux systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices, ensuring optimal performance.
- Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, including password resets and group policy updates.
- Monitor system health, perform routine updates, and apply security patches across the organization.
- Document troubleshooting steps and maintain knowledge base articles for recurring issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT support or helpdesk roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non‑technical users.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and remote support tools.
- Valid IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator are a plus.
