Software Engineer
Provides day‑to‑day systems administration, user support, and infrastructure maintenance for a large healthcare network, leveraging Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, and virtualization technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including patch management, performance tuning, and backup/recovery processes.
- Manage Active Directory objects, group policies, and authentication services for a distributed user base.
- Provide Tier‑1/2 technical support to end users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Support virtualized infrastructure using VMware, including VM provisioning, monitoring, and resource allocation.
- Document procedures, maintain knowledge base articles, and ensure compliance with ITIL service management practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Windows Server administration and Active Directory management.
- Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting.
- Hands‑on experience with VMware vSphere or similar virtualization platforms.
- Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to resolve technical issues promptly.
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and incident/request management processes.
