Systems Engineer
Provide system administration and tier‑1 customer support for enterprise IT environments, managing Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, scripting, and cloud infrastructure while ensuring security and high availability.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments, including patching, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Manage Active Directory objects, group policies, and authentication services for enterprise users.
- Provide tier‑1/2 technical support to end‑users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell and Bash scripts to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Configure and monitor virtualized workloads using VMware/Hyper‑V and support cloud resources in AWS.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including vulnerability remediation and access control reviews.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience with Windows Server and Linux system administration.
- Proficiency in Active Directory management and group policy configuration.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell (or Bash) for automation.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and basic AWS services.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills for customer interaction and documentation.
