About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the squadron commander's authority on all IT and communications policy matters, ensuring compliance with 805 CTS standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain communication plans that support mission-critical operations and safeguard information assets.
- Lead the design and deployment of secure network architectures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex IT incidents, minimizing downtime and maintaining operational readiness.
- Provide training and guidance to squadron personnel on best practices for cybersecurity, data protection, and communication protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in military or high‑security IT environments.
- Proficiency with network security tools, policy development, and IT governance frameworks.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Valid security clearance or ability to obtain one.
