About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, to ensure continuous connectivity for all unit operations.
- Provide first‑line technical support to end users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues via remote and onsite methods.
- Implement and manage Windows and Linux servers, including user account administration, security patches, and backup procedures.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to monitor, detect, and respond to network threats and vulnerabilities.
- Document all incidents, solutions, and system changes in the ticketing system, ensuring accurate knowledge base updates.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in network administration and end‑user support within a structured environment.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN technologies, and network troubleshooting tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a mission‑critical setting.
- Valid security clearance or willingness to obtain one for National Guard duties.
