Software Engineer
Provide base‑level network operations, maintenance, and end‑user technical support, delivering troubleshooting, training, and service desk assistance for a military installation’s IT environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform routine administration of Windows Server services, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Respond to help‑desk tickets, diagnose hardware/software issues, and resolve network connectivity problems for end users.
- Provide on‑site technical assistance, training, and documentation to customers on network services and security policies.
- Assist with network performance monitoring, patch management, and backup/recovery procedures.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco networking equipment and Windows Server administration.
- Proficiency in TCP/IP troubleshooting, Active Directory, and help‑desk ticketing systems.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical users.
- Security clearance eligibility as required for federal installations.
