Software Engineer
Lead the design, implementation, and support of the university’s wired network and server environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance using Windows, Linux, and enterprise networking technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain the enterprise wired network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Administer Windows and Linux servers, applying patches, monitoring performance, and troubleshooting issues.
- Manage Active Directory, user accounts, group policies, and authentication services.
- Configure and maintain VPN, firewall, and other security appliances to protect campus resources.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and rapid recovery.
- Document network and server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in network and server administration.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and networking protocols.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
