Security Engineer
Lead AFRICOM’s Security Architecture Program, setting secure infrastructure standards, implementing IA policies, and supporting A&A processes while managing RMF reporting data.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and advance AFRICOM’s Security Architecture Program, ensuring alignment with national security objectives.
- Develop and enforce secure infrastructure standards across all IT environments.
- Implement and maintain Information Assurance (IA) policies, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
- Provide comprehensive Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) support, including risk assessments and documentation.
- Collect, organize, and analyze system data for Risk Management Framework (RMF) reporting and continuous monitoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT security, preferably within a federal or defense environment.
- Strong knowledge of RMF, A&A processes, and IA policy development.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement secure infrastructure standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
