About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for federal IT systems, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, antivirus, and patch management.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analyses to protect sensitive data.
- Respond to security incidents, perform forensic investigations, and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT support and information security roles.
- Proficiency with Windows and Linux administration, network protocols, and security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS).
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a federal environment.
