Software Engineer
Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions to improve federal IT services, leveraging Python, machine learning frameworks, and cloud platforms while ensuring security and data integrity.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operationalize machine‑learning models that support agency‑wide initiatives and improve citizen‑facing services.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing IT systems and workflows.
- Develop data pipelines and preprocessing routines to ensure high‑quality training data.
- Implement and maintain AI solutions on AWS, adhering to federal cybersecurity standards.
- Monitor model performance, conduct root‑cause analysis, and iterate to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field with 3+ years of hands‑on AI/ML experience.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Strong understanding of NLP techniques and model deployment in cloud environments (AWS).
- Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and build robust data engineering pipelines.
- Knowledge of federal cybersecurity policies and best practices for secure AI deployment.
