IT Specialist providing cybersecurity and systems analysis expertise, advising management on IT policy, application software, and information assurance to support the Barnes Center’s mission.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a cybersecurity and IT consultant, advising senior management on policy, strategy, and compliance for the Barnes Center.
- Analyze and optimize application software and system architectures to enhance performance, security, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain information assurance plans, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new technologies and ensure alignment with federal IT standards.
- Document technical solutions, produce reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT systems analysis, application development, or cybersecurity roles.
- Strong knowledge of federal IT policies, information assurance frameworks, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
