Software Engineer
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise server and storage infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance monitoring, and timely patching while supporting Windows and Linux environments and managing vendor relationships.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and configure physical and virtual servers (Windows and Linux) using VMware or Hyper‑V.
- Implement, manage, and monitor SAN/NAS storage solutions, including provisioning, replication, and capacity planning.
- Perform regular updates, patches, and firmware upgrades to maintain security and stability.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot outages, and resolve hardware or software issues promptly.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash) for routine tasks and deployments.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for support, warranty claims, and service level agreements.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing Windows Server and Linux environments in an enterprise setting.
- Hands‑on experience with VMware (or Hyper‑V) virtualization and SAN/NAS storage technologies.
- Proficiency in PowerShell or Bash scripting for automation and configuration management.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs) and backup/recovery solutions.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and with cross‑functional teams.
