Remote IT Senior Technical Specialist responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting Windows and Linux environments, cloud infrastructure on AWS, and virtualization solutions while automating tasks with PowerShell.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server and Linux infrastructures across multiple cloud and on‑premise environments.
- Deploy, configure, and optimize AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM) to support business applications.
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and ensure high availability and performance.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation workflows to streamline system administration and incident response.
- Provide tier‑2/3 technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams to resolve incidents.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Windows Server, Linux, and cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell (or Bash) for automation and configuration management.
- Proven experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and ITIL‑based incident management.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and effective communication skills in a remote work environment.
