Security Engineer
The IT Security Analyst monitors, analyzes, and protects the bank’s information systems, handling vulnerability assessments, incident response, and compliance reporting while collaborating with IT, risk, and security teams.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and logs using SIEM tools to detect and investigate potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability scans, assess findings, and coordinate remediation with system owners.
- Lead incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and post‑incident analysis.
- Collaborate with Risk Management and the Information Security Officer to evaluate and mitigate security risks.
- Support regulatory compliance initiatives (e.g., PCI‑DSS, GLBA) by preparing evidence and responding to audits.
- Maintain and improve network security controls, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in information security or related IT roles.
- Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability assessment tools.
- Strong understanding of incident response processes and risk assessment methodologies.
- Familiarity with banking‑industry regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
