Software Engineer
Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver cloud‑native software solutions on AWS, driving project timelines, budgets, and quality while applying Agile and DevOps practices to support large‑scale scientific initiatives.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end project delivery for cloud‑based software solutions, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget, and high‑quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and operations teams to define scope, milestones, and deliverables using Agile frameworks.
- Manage risk, resolve impediments, and maintain transparent communication with stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing to accelerate release cycles.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, adopting best practices in cloud architecture, security, and performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing software and cloud engineering projects.
- Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation) and experience with Azure or GCP is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
