Software Engineer
Lead cross‑functional IT projects in a bioscience environment, driving delivery on time and within budget while coordinating with research, software engineering, and data science teams.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and close complex IT projects, ensuring alignment with research objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate Agile Scrum ceremonies, manage backlogs, and prioritize tasks for multidisciplinary teams.
- Coordinate with biomedical scientists, software engineers, and data scientists to translate research needs into technical solutions.
- Track project progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep milestones on schedule.
- Prepare and present status reports to senior stakeholders, including NIH partners, on project health and outcomes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of IT project management experience in a research or biotech setting.
- Proven expertise in Agile Scrum and project management tools (Jira, MS Project).
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Experience managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, FDA) is a plus.
