Program Manager
Lead and oversee information security programs for a defense IT division, managing risk, compliance, budgets, and cross‑functional teams while ensuring alignment with NIST and DoD cybersecurity standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the planning, execution, and delivery of information security initiatives across the IT/Cybersecurity Division.
- Develop and maintain risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with NIST, DoD, and other federal security frameworks.
- Manage program budgets, schedules, and resources, providing regular status reports to senior leadership.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, and acquisition teams to integrate security controls into system life cycles.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication, including briefings, documentation, and training on security policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience in information security, preferably within a DoD or federal environment.
- Strong knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework, RMF, and DoD acquisition regulations.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with senior leadership and technical staff.
