Job Summary
Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency. The Client Services Web Team, within Governors Technology Office, is recruiting a full stack developer, to be located in our Carson City, NV office, to support over 100 state agency public facing websites. The team assists other state agencies in creating and modifying websites via a content management system. Incumbents will use industry standard tools and languages to create new CMS features to enhance State of Nevada websites. As an Information Technology Professional, incumbents analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify In-House, Vendor Created and For Purchase (COTS) applications. Incumbents perform journey level application developer duties including full SDLC processes, maintenance, and application enhancements. Incumbents will perform all duties in conformance to the GTO Division’s application development standards. The following platforms and languages are used by the Web Team: .NET, C#, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ubuntu, php, and MSSQL.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and two years of professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position which may include computer operations, systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security; OR two years of experience as an IT Professional I in Nevada State service; OR four years of relevant technical experience as an IT Technician IV or above in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
