Systems Engineer
The IT Operations Engineer will design, implement, and maintain cloud‑native infrastructure, automate workflows, and ensure high availability of systems supporting maritime technology operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure on AWS, leveraging IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Automate routine operational tasks using Python and Bash scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Implement container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes to support micro‑service architectures.
- Monitor system health, performance, and security using Prometheus, Grafana, and alerting pipelines, ensuring 99.9% uptime.
- Maintain Linux server environments, perform patch management, and troubleshoot network and connectivity issues.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in IT operations or site reliability engineering, preferably in cloud‑focused environments.
- Strong proficiency with Linux administration, scripting (Python/Bash), and networking concepts.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM) and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
