Software Engineer
Responsible for day‑to‑day operation, monitoring, and support of enterprise application infrastructure, leveraging Linux/Windows servers, VMware virtualization, scripting, and AWS cloud services to ensure high availability and performance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor enterprise application servers (Linux and Windows) to guarantee 99.9% uptime.
- Administer VMware virtual environments, including provisioning, patching, and performance tuning.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python and Bash for routine tasks, deployments, and incident remediation.
- Implement and manage cloud resources on AWS, ensuring proper scaling, security, and cost optimization.
- Diagnose and resolve network‑related incidents, collaborating with networking teams to address latency, connectivity, and firewall issues.
- Provide Tier‑2/3 support for application incidents, creating detailed incident reports and knowledge‑base articles.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in IT operations supporting Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere administration and virtual networking.
- Proficiency in scripting with Python and Bash for automation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch) and cloud‑based monitoring tools.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and firewall concepts, with proven network troubleshooting skills.
