Experienced IT Internal Controls Tester responsible for designing and executing ITGC and SOX testing, assessing control effectiveness, sampling, and documenting findings to ensure regulatory and organizational compliance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and execute IT General Controls (ITGC) and SOX testing across technology and business processes.
- Assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls, identify gaps, and recommend remediation actions.
- Perform audit sampling, data analysis, and documentation of test results in accordance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather evidence, resolve issues, and support remediation efforts.
- Prepare clear, concise reports summarizing findings, risk implications, and compliance status for senior management and auditors.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in ITGC, SOX, or internal controls testing within a technology‑focused environment.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, control frameworks (e.g., COSO, COBIT), and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in audit sampling techniques, data analysis, and documentation tools.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CPA, CIA) are a plus.
