Software Engineer
IT Engineer responsible for first‑line support, troubleshooting, and managing Windows/Linux environments, networking, and cloud services. Strong focus on helpdesk operations, system administration, and proactive issue resolution using AWS and on‑prem infrastructure.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for all helpdesk tickets, providing timely and effective resolution.
- Administer and maintain Windows Server and Linux systems, including patching, backups, and performance tuning.
- Manage Active Directory, user accounts, group policies, and access controls.
- Configure and troubleshoot network devices, VPNs, and firewall rules to ensure secure connectivity.
- Support and monitor AWS cloud resources, including EC2, S3, and RDS, ensuring high availability and cost efficiency.
- Document solutions, update knowledge base, and train end‑users on best practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in IT support or system administration.
- Proficient with Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services and basic scripting (PowerShell or Bash).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and excellent customer‑service orientation.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals are a plus.
