Software Engineer
Hands‑on IT Engineer driving day‑to‑day support, ticket resolution, and system migrations for a network of optical practices, leveraging scripting and process improvement to keep teams productive and systems running smoothly.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first‑line technical support via phone and ticketing system, ensuring rapid resolution of user issues.
- Manage and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network components across multiple practice sites.
- Lead onboarding projects for new practices, including system setup, data migration, and user training.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate repetitive tasks, improve workflow efficiency, and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify process gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT support or help desk environments.
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or similar) and familiarity with automation tools.
- Hands‑on knowledge of Windows/Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and common office software.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities, with a customer‑focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
