IT Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, scalable IT infrastructure across hospital environments, leveraging Windows, Linux, Azure, and virtualization technologies to support clinical and administrative operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Windows Server and Linux environments to support hospital applications and services.
- Configure and maintain Azure cloud resources, ensuring high availability and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Deploy and manage virtualized workloads using Hyper‑V or VMware, optimizing performance and resource utilization.
- Implement network and security controls, including firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection, to safeguard patient data.
- Automate routine tasks with PowerShell and other scripting languages, improving efficiency and reducing errors.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to troubleshoot issues and provide timely support.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure for healthcare or similar regulated environments.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Azure, and virtualization platforms.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced setting.
