Data Engineer
Lead data engineering initiatives using Splunk, designing and maintaining robust ETL pipelines, optimizing data flows, and ensuring high-quality data for analytics and monitoring.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Splunk data pipelines and dashboards for real‑time monitoring and analytics.
- Implement ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load large volumes of structured and unstructured data into Splunk and related storage systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data requirements, data models, and performance metrics.
- Optimize query performance, index strategies, and data retention policies to meet SLA and cost targets.
- Provide troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement for data quality and system reliability.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a data engineer or similar role with hands‑on Splunk administration.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL tooling.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments and scripting.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
