Data Engineer
Entry‑level IT Data Engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and warehouses using Python, SQL, and cloud services to support analytics and reporting across a growing care network.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to ingest data from internal systems and external sources.
- Build and optimize data models and warehouses in Snowflake to enable self‑service analytics.
- Write clean, production‑ready Python and SQL code for data transformation and validation.
- Collaborate with data analysts, product owners, and IT teams to understand data requirements and ensure data quality.
- Monitor pipeline performance in AWS, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for reliability and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in Python programming and strong SQL query skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake.
- Understanding of ETL concepts and familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect) is a plus.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
