Security Engineer
Lead the protection of digital assets for a world‑class art institution, designing and implementing robust security controls, monitoring threats, and ensuring compliance across complex IT environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain security architecture for on‑premises and cloud environments, ensuring alignment with institutional policies.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and risk analyses to identify and remediate security gaps.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with IT, legal, and external partners to contain, investigate, and recover from security incidents.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures, including access control, data protection, and network segmentation.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to staff, fostering a culture of vigilance and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; relevant certifications (CISSP, CEH, or equivalent) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise cybersecurity, with a strong background in network security, threat detection, and incident response.
- Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
