Lead cybersecurity initiatives, safeguarding critical information systems through threat analysis, incident response, and risk management using industry best practices and advanced security tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities across network, application, and infrastructure layers.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls in alignment with federal regulations and industry standards.
- Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery, while coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
- Perform continuous monitoring of security events, analyze logs, and generate actionable threat intelligence reports.
- Advise stakeholders on risk mitigation strategies, security architecture enhancements, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cybersecurity roles, with hands‑on expertise in network security, incident response, and risk assessment.
- Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection platforms.
- Strong knowledge of federal security frameworks (NIST, DoD, FISMA) and compliance mandates.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
